River Phantom Kicker

$54.99

Built for the 10 p.m. bunny kick.

North American catnip. Huxley & Kent construction. Your cat is going to relocate this to the hallway, and that's fine.

At some point after dark, your cat is going to grab something, wrap their front legs around it, and kick it repeatedly with their back legs until they feel better. This is not a behavior you can train out, and you wouldn't want to — it's the end of the hunt sequence and it's completely instinctual. The River Phantom gives that instinct a legitimate address. Stuffed with North American catnip, built to withstand the kick cycle night after night. No batteries, no charging. Just the toy, the catnip, and the cat doing exactly what it came here to do.

River Phantom Kicker

$54.99

North American catnip

Potency-tested and cat-approved. The response is immediate; the effect lasts through a full bunny-kick session.

Huxley & Kent construction

Built to outlast the kick cycle. Seams hold under sustained bunny-kick pressure from cats of any size.

Zero electronics

No batteries, no charging, no parts to lose at midnight. It works every time they find it.

Satisfies the hunt cycle

The bunny kick is the last stage of the hunt — this gives your cat a complete predatory sequence indoors.

Indoor cats don't get to complete the hunt cycle. They stalk, they pounce, and then — nothing. That energy has to go somewhere. Some cats take it to your ankles. Some take it to the couch. The bunny kick is how they finish what they started, and they need something that can take it. That's what this is for.

"My cat went absolutely wild for this. First toy in months that held her attention past the first five minutes."

"Solid build quality, arrived quickly. Does exactly what it says. Our 3-year-old tabby can't get enough."

Common questions

How long does the catnip last?

Most cats get 2–4 weeks of strong response before the scent fades. The toy stays useful as a kick target after the catnip fades — reintroduce periodically for a fresh response.

What size cat is it built for?

The kicker is 13 inches long and suits cats of most sizes. Larger cats (12+ lbs) will engage the full length comfortably; smaller cats will wrap around it differently, which is equally good.

Is it safe for kittens?

Yes, with one note: kittens under 6 months may not react strongly to catnip yet — the response tends to kick in around that age. They'll still engage with it as a kicker before catnip becomes a factor.

My cat ignores catnip toys. Will this work?

Approximately 30–50% of cats don't respond to catnip — it's genetic. If your cat is in that group, they may still use it as a kicker; they just won't have the catnip-specific response.

Is it machine washable?

Hand wash is recommended to protect the catnip fill and seam integrity. Air dry fully before returning to your cat.

Can multiple cats share it?

They can, but the dominant cat will claim it quickly. In multi-cat homes, we'd suggest the Harbor Hunt Fish Pack (3 kickers) so ownership disputes resolve faster.
