Yes — at the full weight load (15 kg per shelf × 5 tiers), stud mounting is required for safety. The full hardware kit includes everything for stud installation.
How high does the top shelf sit?▾
Placement is flexible — you choose the starting height and spacing. Standard configurations run from 18 inches off the floor to ceiling height, with 12–16 inches between tiers.
Can multiple cats share it?▾
Yes. Five tiers across a vertical column naturally distributes cats by preference. Dominant cats claim the top; younger or lower-confidence cats take middle tiers — the hierarchy tends to resolve itself.
Is the wood finished?▾
Natural wood with a protective matte coat — no strong chemical smell, cat-safe surface.
Can I add a hammock to any tier?▾

How long does installation take?▾
Allow 90–120 minutes for all five tiers including finding studs and leveling each shelf. A second person makes it significantly faster.
